Walk to drop off school lunches, failed to make it in time and missed the online ordering cut off at 9am,  not the first time..

Bumped into Eden's school teacher at the shops during their lunch break so she took the kids lunches to them.  How convenient. 

The long awaited stairs were installed last night by Erin, he was McDreamy by the time he finished at some uncivilised hour in the morn.  Then straight to work in the morning.  He's a rock.  

Downstairs still looks mostly the same.  We went with cheap carpet downstairs (it's hard) saved $1k but probably should have gone with the same right through the house.  It will do.

The kitchen is 99% there, just a few finishing touches, a few floating shelves and a chalkboard (thanks for the design idea Tui).

The lounge is coming together.. Still trying to finalise a few design choices, I'm still not 100% about the rug, it kind of throws the balance as more retro than modern.  A plain light grey rug might be the go.  I set out trying to achieve the modernistic Scandinavian look but have ended up with something like retro/mid century/Scandinavian/modernistic all blended together.  It should work in the end. 

Really want to buy the black one of this but for $170 something, not happening. Especially when time and resources have almost run out.  This little birdie is way down there on the list of priorities.  I may buy this one though and paint it black.  

I love these and want them for the lounge but at $60 a pop I'll shop for fabric and see if my awesome mum can make some.

Listing is up, we managed to scrape through with a few photos.

For the record, we are not moving city.. Just a small misunderstanding by our Agent.  Maybe it's a good omen. 

It's Friday.  My last shower was Tuesday or Wednesday, I can't remember.  I have been in and slept in the same clothes since and my wet do up has finally gone to the side.  Amazingly I don't smell yet.
