It's Christmas Day today and it's a cool 32 degrees in Kalgoorlie, WA (cool compared to the last few days of 40 degrees celcius plus!). We had an early start to the day with the kids waking us up at 5:00am, (still due to jet-lag from our visit to New Zealand I hope).
Our day consisted of, traditional reading of the birth of Jesus Christ, present opening, playing with toys, church service, playing with toys, skype sessions with loved ones, lots of good food and music and more playing with toys. Here are a few pictures from our day...

Eden had fun dressing herself up as Mary and her stuffed polar bear was her little baby Jesus.
I had fun doing my thing, setting the table and preparing Christmas lunch, while listening to my favourite Christmas CD this year, IL DIVO 'The Christmas Collection', just beautiful.
Erin had fun doing his thing, teaching the kids to ride their bikes at the park and then coming home to train them to be superstar baseball players. It's serious business being a Wharemate.

The house is reasonably messy, dishes everywhere, the kids are sound asleep and it will all stay that way until the morning. So this was Christmas in Kalgoorlie 2011. Merry Christmas whanau, love you all. Erin, Leonie, Eden and Josh xx
