Traditions

Sunday Morning Pancakes.  Living in Kalgoorlie for the past 3 1/2 years we didn't have the luxury of extended family around so it was lonely at times, especially when Erin worked so hard and was away from us more than we liked.  I decided to create activities for us to look forward to like and we ended up with "Fun Friday", "Try something new Tuesday", "Techno free Thursday" and "Pancake Sunday".  These have become part of our family traditions.

Papa Dave (Erin's Dad) started a new extended family tradition of monthly Family Home Evenings.  It involves rotating around each families home to spend time together, have a short lesson, fun game and yumo dessert.  This month was our turn.  I love this new tradition, no matter how busy we all are during the month we spend time together as an extended whanau every month.  The kids love hanging out with their cuzzies.  Here's some pics from the most recent one at our place.

Eden the nurse.  Almost lost Kawiti over the deck and one bleeding knee, no dramas.

This guy is crack up.(Picture credit to Hannah).  She was my kitchen hand and photography assistant, she will give anything a go!

Also she got selected with a few other students out of the whole school to do some extremely adventurous activities next year, like bungy jumping, white water rafting, etc. I heard from an inside source that she's pretty much the most liked student at her school.

Hannah's paparazzi skills, cracked it.

Time to unwind

Found these kids up on the curb at 773 waving down cars trying to get a wave back and absolutely buzzing out when they got a beep. The car ride home went something like this, "that was cool aye Kaea", Kaea, "yea we looked cool aye Josh, were like teenagers, we should do that again aye".

This kid cracks me up, cheeky monkey.

Big boy crawling everywhere

Always smiling

Renovations complete and house sold.  End of a fast and furious chapter.  Time to unwind and make a mess.
